About Me

Located in a country just above the equator, in the warms midst of Central America, I was raised and born in Nicaragua, a single distinction within a country pervaded with strength of character. I am Ashley Madrigal, currently 18 years old, driven by my definitive passion for economic equality, poverty and human rights. I am a current college student, 2 years away from graduating as an entrepreneur whom aspires to progress a social impact and relieve the economic stress in Nicaragua. At the age 17 I received a licensee, organized, threw and gave a talk in the first TEDx event at my high school

Despite my young age and honorific student history, I have grown passionate for the global issues and the action required by my generation. Throughout my younger years I endeavored in community service, human rights reports and interning for an NGO. However, the force of my future was forced upon me by the political and economic crisis of 2018 in Nicaragua, in which over hundreds of people were killed by governmental forces, mostly targeting the youth.  For what’s ahead, I’m excited for nurturing my education, both in the economics and finance department, and establishing in Nicaragua.
